c1767. The King\u2019s Observatory is a Grade I listed building in Richmond, London. Now a private dwelling, it formerly housed an astronomical and terrestrial magnetic observatory founded by King George III. The architect was Sir William Chambers; his design of the King\u2019s Observatory influenced the architecture of two Irish observatories \u2013 Armagh Observatory and Dunsink Observatory near Dublin.<\/p>\n

Williams Restoration undertook the restoration and conservation of the original Stucco fa\u00e7ades at The Kings Observatory. This included undertaking a full historical survey of the existing stucco to determine how much of the original could be saved. Once complete Williams Restoration set upon the conservation. Using only historically matched, Lime based mortars new cornice moulds were run in situ and also pre-cast mouldings attached where necessary. Williams Restoration also undertook the restoration of the internal Lime plaster. Removing the blown plasterwork and replacing with a historically sourced Lime plaster.<\/p>\n
