Situated on Europe\u2019s busiest shopping corridor 145 Oxford street is in a prime location. Only a short walk away from the future Crossrail Train Line the shoppers are predicted to rise from 87,000 a day to over 300,000. This building had suffered greatly from years of weathering and neglect. Having recently been purchased to be renovated to coincide with the cross rail train lime, Williams Restoration were employed to restore the external masonry.<\/p>\n

Williams Restoration undertook the restoration and conservation of the frontal fa\u00e7ade and rear chimney. This included undertaking a full fa\u00e7ade clean with our specialist ThermaTech modular cleaning system. A system created with the environment in mind. Energy efficiency, water consumption and its low emissions makes it one of the leading resources for a environmentally friendly company to have. Once complete Williams Restoration proceeded to remove the harmful cementitious mortar from the fa\u00e7ade. This was then replaced with a historically matched, Lime based mortar with a finish to match the adjoining buildings. Williams also undertook the restoration of the existing cornice and window mouldings. This was done by running an in-situ mould and also fixing pre-cast mouldings made using Lime mortars.<\/p>\n
