The Black Eagle Brewery<\/b>\u00a0is the former brewing plant of Truman’s Brewery located around Brick Lane in the Spitalfields area, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Truman’s subsequently became Truman, Hanbury and Buxton. By 1853, the Black Eagle Brewery was the largest in the world, with an annual production of 400,000 barrels.<\/sup><\/p>\n

The former buildings, warehouses and yards were redeveloped by The Zeloof Partnership as the “Old Truman Brewery” and now houses over 250 businesses, ranging from cultural venues to art galleries, restaurants, and retail shops. The Director’s House and former Brew House are listed buildings.<\/p>\n

Williams Restoration undertook the restoration of the fa\u00e7ade at the Truman Brewery using the specialist finish \u2018Japanese Render\u2019.<\/p>\n

Following the project brief to recreate the existing and depleted pebble dash esc\u2019 render that had been used on the adjacent buildings. Williams Restoration undertook hours of research including on-site samples until all parties were happy with the mortars and techniques needed.<\/p>\n

Our specialist, external restoration team were then trained in the specialist Japanese Render techniques and undertook the works.<\/span><\/p>\n
